There's a reason they use dmaxes in offshore race boats, and not cummins.....

Well good news. Body shop called me just now and told me to bring it in to look at it and they'll fix it. Also asked them about painting my tailgate cap and said he normally doesn't paint over textured plastic cause it will cause issues down the road. Umm okay that's why you sand it down and besides it needs to repaired from the deep scratches it has in some spots. Came off a work truck from work lol

The spoken words of every body man there ever was that doesn't want to deal with the hassle of sanding the texture out.

I wouldn't mind a gas 1500HD or 2500HD, but if I can swing it I'm going dmax, and a 350 ought to automatically be a dmax cuz stock 6.0s don't have enough ass to pull what a 3500 can

Your argument is invalid, gm used 6.0L engines in their 4500-6500 trucks for 30+ years. Ever hear of the 366 Big Block? Being able to tow something has nothing to do with power and a lot more to do with gear ratios and final drive ratios. I can show you a 30hp tractor that will pull 60k lbs if it can keep traction.

But I believe you're referring to being able to get up to speed and do normal stuff like that while towing, which I can confidently say a 366 will never do. But it will certainly pull the same amount of weight as a dmax.
i gave it a wash monday night,

its not perfect. but its better then it has been for a while.

Yeah, that's what I'm referring to. They'll do the job just fine, they just need more gear and won't do it as fast/efficiently as a deisel. I've seen some old flathead 50s trucks pulling tons of weight as well, just very slowly lol. Just saying if I'm choosing between the 2 I'm gonna go dmax, especially in this day and age.
