So I'm doing this honda thing now i guess
1990 accord lx
Plans are to swap in a jdm h22 and convert from auto to manual then daily it and sell my truck.

first got it home

Drained the oil, looks promising. Also has a blown trans. Cherry.

initial tear down, looks awful. Oil fucking everywhere

auto-manual swap mounts

5spd swap mounts

pedal/shifter installed

more parts, clutch line made to delete clutch dampener and vtec conversion sub harness

aem fuel rail, blox fpr, obd1 h22 distributor...some cheesedick injectors I dont fucking know

dat new new

new bitch ready for dat werk.


That's all for now, I have a shit ton of parts laying around for this thing and everything should come together in next month or so. Hoping to have the first start by the end of the month and it driving shortly after. Only plans other than the swap are 5 lug conversion, coilovers, maybe wheels idk. Just figured I'd share this random build with you guys hope you get some entertainment out of it if not then

Somewhere between 2500-3000 including cost of the car....kinda stopped keeping track lol. Gonna go back to school and work as little as possible so I can focus and finish this time. Don't want to worry about truck payment/insurance. It might work out to where I keep the truck, idk

Pretty much the plan, I'm going 5 lug to get rid of the awful hub over rotor set-up and better wheel selection in 5x114.3. Will probably get some cheap oem honda 5 lug wheels and rock those.

i would keep it looking like it does, put a super quiet exhaust on, make it a killer sleeper.

Got the motor back together...just did a minor re-seal, timing belt, water pump, kaizen speed manual timing adjuster etc..

Motor bolted to the trans

As of right now the motor is like sitting in the car but I couldn't get it bolted in...bitch is fighting me. Plus it was 95 degrees and humid as FUCK out today. Once my eye started twitching uncontrollably from the heat headache I had to call it quits lol....plus I have no idea what im doing lol I'll go back at it next weekend.

Been a while, so here's what the car looked like last time it was in my possession.

Then I sent it off to a local guy to finish up the swap, clean up the wiring etc..

Here's pictures I got from the guy...supposed to be getting it back sometimes this week. Then I just need to get tires, misc suspension parts, exhaust and whatever else I can think of. Bitch starts up now though, runs good but its just loud as shit because open downpipe haha

Nice! Perfect car for school/commuter. I parked my OBS while in college and got a $2,000 1995 Accord and piled the miles on it. If you're swapping to 5x114.3, you should look for some 8th or 9th gen Civic Si wheels or some Acura wheels or something!

The whole 'building it to be my daily' thing didn't really work out though. I work 25miles from home now and sit in a little traffic on the way too and a SHIT TON of traffic on the way home. Dnw driving stick in that every day. I can't really sell it though so idk what im gonna do. If by some miracle it does sell im getting a nbs tahoe but I'm not pressed for that at all, whatever happens happens imo
