Exhaust Clip Sticky

I ran one with high flow cats for a few years and for a little with long tubes.

My setup right now is high flow cats and a single 12 inch bullet to a dumped 8 inch tip. Piping is three inches. I want louder and cutting out the cats seems like the cheapest way to get that, but I don't want it sounding like complete shit haha

You will be somewhere between those two sounds. I wouldn't say either setup sounded bad, but my truck was pretty loud with the headers into bullet dumped. It just got annoying but I always thought it sounded good.

You will have to tune out your o2 sensors if you cut the cats off so that's an added expense.

I will still have stock manifolds for a while though, so how will that affect the sound compared to headers?

It's just going to sound a bit less throaty honestly, nothing to be concerned with. Cutting cats off will make it more raspy than what it is now and it will be louder.

damn, I guess I never posted my setup. currently have Magnaflow 18" muffler s in/d out. About to throw my Pacesetter's on with their ory pipe and new cats, all 3" piping, 22" Magnaflow dumped behind the axle.

I just installed a xr1 too it is quieter at idle but it has a nice deep tone really happy with it. Also no more rasp that I had with lts n flowmaster 10 series.

I know its supposed to be quite but I can't even hear it when I step on it like I used to

Cam 5.3l first start up, open headers.

Cam 6.0l first start up, open headers.

In cab- 6.0l, CalSpeed longtube headers, ory, single 3" 18" Dynomax Bullet in front of an Aeroturbine 3030xl, 4" dmax tailpipe to a 6" tip...exhaust leaks like a mofo.

Same exhaust as above, but 5.3l

Cammed 5.3l, Pacesetter longtubes, ory, Aeroturbine 3030xl, 4" tailpipe. No Bullet in front of Aero. Excuse the dirty ass truck.

Still don't have a good walk around vid of current setup. Getting tired of aeroturbine's drone....
