Hi guys looking for some help with a transmission selection. I've got a 92 c1500 right now it has a 305 with the nv3500. Plans for winter are to get the truck ready for a new motor and maybe tranny. The 383 will be bored .040 over. Was planning on just fixing the few things wrong with the nv3500 and using that. But really wanted to get some good advise on if I should use that or something else. Will not do and automatic had one in another truck and they go great when build but fell inlove with the 5speed and want to keep it a stick. If you have any advise or anything that would be great. Motor will be around 500hp to the crank. Truck will be used for street use and maybe a little on the 1/4 mile. Also I use highway a lot but have another truck for daily driver so looking for this tranny to be the best of everything if I can. Thanks!
