I am seriously looking at buying a 2004 Denali and i am just wondering about some feedback from anyone that has owned one or driven one. Are there that many more issues due to the AWD system and the 6.0? Is the power a big difference? I just don't want to buy one and it be a maintenance nightmare and get 14mpg on the highway. I understand it won't get amazing mpg, but just wondering what real world results and reviews are from people that have experience with them. Thank you.

Here are pictures of the Denali...only concern it is 5 hours away and the bottom half looks like a difference color to me...might be sunfade or just the diff in metal and plastic in pictures.

I am going to run a carfax on it in the morning...she said that it has never had bodywork or paint that she knows of (family friend is actual owner) and that in person it doesn't look nearly as off...she said it looks SLIGHTLY difference at certain angles, which I would imagine factory plastic vs factory metal would...as long as the carfax is good I am going to get it Saturday

i get 13-13.5 in town and 15-17 hwy. but im lifted a bit with almost 33's. Go join denalitrucks.com, there are some really knowledgable guys that will probably quickly respond and let you know what they're getting.

My truck will run pretty good compared to some of the 5.3's i've driven, i've had mine for about 50,000 miles with 0 problems, and truck has 120xxx on it.

My mom's 2003 Escalade ESV got mid 14s in town, never checked the gears in though. Had 90k on it when we sold it and had no problems in the amount of time we had it. I'd just check and make sure the front end is not roaring.

The paint issue is going to be the plastic vs metal deal. On my 08 the moldings are a duller looking silver birch than the actual truck.

yes it will have bose. I love my denali. I get about 13city mpg and about 13.5 highway mpg lol. Dont notice a difference fo much at all. I have a cold air intake but thats it. Before the intake i got 12. Biggest problem i have had was replacing a window motor. nothing mechanical at all. Also beware the silver paint on dash and center console peels away like crazy after a while. As for the color differences, check them out in person IMO. Mine has all stock paint and I do notice a slight shade difference in the body and the cladding. Hope this helps. Would definitely recommend getting one

Btw, I am original owner with 97k and no issues (knock on wood)
