I mightve messed up the motors that operates the needles. I used a fork, bent them, now they skip and/or read inaccurately.

Any body ever thought of doing anything with the orange needles? In the s10's when the LEDs would get done they would sometimes use actone to remove the orange from the back of the needles and leave them clear or paint em a different color. i wonder if the same holds true for the fullsizes.

IIRC the 03+ needles are all orange, the 99-02 needles were clear with the orange painted on the backside.

Believe nbs orange needles are fully orange, only way to change is new needles.

Your gauges originally had a blueish tint?

On my extended cab the were blue
stock

Individual Led bulbs

Then tried removing the blue tint and ended up messing it up

Use 2 spoons instead of a fork. That way you don't touch actual needle part

Yes at least the 03 and up are orange. Tried to clear them with nail polish remover and it just melted the plastic lol



Also or putting the needles back on and lining them up I used this. Put the needle on and then rotate counter clockwise to the right spot

Ok so yeah...toss that idea into the shitter. My LED strip should be here saturday.

Can buy new needles, they are expensive imo but I will eventually get some Either clear or teal

Nope all mine is white with a bluish tint on like the 4x4 and headlight cause they have it on the button. I am not sure yet on the fan speed was thinking of doing the led and resistor there or trying to lay them so it would be able to function

You have to get a 5mm LED positioned just right so that it sits inside the hole on the button when the panel is re assembled. This is how I do them:

I went to do this and my damn cluster is blue on the backside...so guess what color everything lights up with white LEDs....BLUE!!! BOOO!!!! So I havent done the offical switch yet..deciding if I dont hate the blue enough to do it or not.

I didn't mind the blue after it was said and done. Better than stock

Now my gas gauge light is kinda sorta out...so maybe I'll just do the LEDs and get over the blue.
