Once applied some go back with a towel and wipe it off to remove some of the excess after its set a bit. This also takes down the shine if you didn't like how shiny it is.

I agree Ginger, I have never seen a stronger trim conditioner than SCG yet. When I did half my front radiator cover months ago for this i was incredibly impressed. It also survived this weekend and just wiped down and looks just like it did before. I'll get a picture today.
 
I'll be using the glass sealant today. It's gonna rain today but not taking my truck out in it. My dad's glass is fucking horrible, water flattens out and sticks to it like crazy. So I'll clay/seal that too prolly and rip it around in the rain

:shake: and i dont even need to buff it down, it isnt as greasy
 
Dat quick sealant is still holding up great on my glass lulz. But I am too very much over SVRT. Wayyyy to expensive for a product that doesn't stick around after a good rain shower and it too matte for me
 
its just like VRT but less greasy, holds up better, repels water better. doesnt run and make streaks on the doors after it rains.
 
good writeups so far, think the first thing im investing in is the prep wash and then as some adams stuff runs out, maybe try their tire dressing always had VRT streaking problems even after buffing down and using APC to prep the tire.
 
tell you the truth i dont use anyones APC, i have been using simple green lately, esspecially on tires it works best.
 
you simple green it, then you put the dressing on and it looks good.


i clean a lot of tires since i pressure wash around 8-12 for the racecar every week,

Yes, both the trim and tire dressings are water based dilutable creams. They can be used straight out of the bottle or cut with water to suit your needs - I call it "dilute to suit"

Funny how people are waiting on a "new" dressing from other sources... when the "NEW" is already here and its called SCG Pro Tire Dressing & Conditioner ;)

i have the gallon of SCG APC and i like it a lot. Adams APC left a brown dry finish once dried. SCG doesnt, leaves a very clean look when dry.

The biggest thing I have found with cleaning tires is that for a layer a film not chunks of mud, a brush just pushes the film around. I have now been using a black edgeless microfiber to scrub and clean my tires and it works way better for me.

This is exactly what I am talking about in above post with APC and a brush. Although I haven't tried any other brand APC yet

you use cheap tire shine?

i find the cheap stuff or the foam causes that slimey layer. the SCG and even VRT dont leave a layer like that.

Been using SVRT only for about 3 years. Until wash yesterday when I used a solvent based dressing because my dad gets it for free from his second job. Cant beat free even if it is solvent based
 
I have that mothers wheel brush, and Adams tire & fender brush. Wheel brush was great while it lasted. Now the flagged bristles are kinda hard/stiff so I don't use it on any new wheels

yep a good brush and a good cleaner and some scrubbing works well, if really bad, the pressure washer will blast it off good
