My first truck! 04 Chevro...no wait...yes...no...wait..

Better add some more tape. Cause that one looks like it burned through there

Yeah the first one I did was with the thin metal and i wasnt happy with it so i went ahead and took it out and used the thicker metal for it. I had a scare with some slag burning through tape/plastic so i put denim sheets on top of the plastic. I haven't welded in quite a while but my welds got a little better as i went along. I'm confident enough with them. Body filler is drying now.

Edit.
Ran out of time tonight. Hoping to finish filling/sanding tomorrow and send it off for bed liner on monday. Not a big mod in any sort but I'm excited to finally get it done. I've wanted to get it since i bought the truck. /csb

Finally a new mod (kinda) lol. This bedliner is pretty legit. As thick/rough as line-x but 2/3 the price. Needs to be touched up in a few spots but overall, im glad to finally have it. Was one of the first things i wanted. /csbpt2 on to the pics.

i need to repaiant the handle panel and figure out how to make my bed cover work with the shaved gate lol

Came out looking really good, I would have just had them spray the handle and bracket while they sprayed the rest of the gate. Kinda looks out of place now.

Well i didn't want to cover it up in case i need to get in there for some reason. I got the bed cover back on. Just clamping 3 of the 4 corners for now until i figure something else out.

Damn looks really good man, stake pockets are a nice touch. Did you build that relocator? looks exactly like the one I built, I plan on bedlining over the relocator though

ive buckled bedrails using the stake pockets as tie down points. dnw. always use the corner ones imo, i also added some in my truck for my dirt bike

Thanks. And no i got the relocater from Hicks on gmfs.
The 4 tie down points on each corner have always been enough for me. But I do see the use of the stake pockets. I just didn't need them lol

And this. I had a big pallet of freightliner body panels strapped to the inside of the rails one time and it pulled the rails in at the middle and after that, i only used the 4 hooks. I kind of want to add rails with sliding hooks in the floor but i doubt i will. I very rarely haul anything these days.

Replaced windshield a while back and had it tinted with just 35 this time and a low 5% brow. Also repainted the tailgate handle. Need to get pictures after work

Added a garage door opener console and got it programed but my battery died last week and i havent been able to reprogram it since.. so that's an ongoing issue.

Painted the tailgate handle relocater. I should have done matte black so it wouldn't have stood out so much but..
