Little update:
I bought a 6.0 out of a 07 classic. Cleaned it up, found cracked oil pan and cracked timing cover. Then I tried to turn it over and it was stuck. Got it to turn over and it still was rough and would catch in certain spots. Absolutely needed a rebuild in my opinion. I brought it back to the guy I got it from and got my money back.
Next, I met up with a guy with a running 5.3 in a truck so I could listen to it. Sounded great, no issues. He pulled it, I bought it.
I contacted a buddy of mine who still had a ls6 cam and springs that I sold to him about 3 years ago. I bought that too.
I'll post pictures today after cleanup, but now it'll be a 5.3/ls6 cammed daily.
