LED head light bulbs? any info/details on them ?

Aside from changing the focus point from within the halogen lens, a single source LED driver isnt going to have all the light properly focused to actually throw it down the road. This is actually the same thing that happens when you put HID into a halogen reflector, light goes all over since you are changing the position of the light pattern/source. LEDs are great and have lots of potential and distance, IF they are designed properly, something that doesnt happen with tossing in a "LED bulb" into your housing. If you look at all the current OEM led headlamp systems, they are multi unit. Most companies are using an array of atleast 5 different optics to each LED driver set. This way they can focus each lens individually and position them all in a way that provide functional spreads of light. If you cover up any one of those units, you start to be dim spots in the headlight pattern, since the others are too focused in lighting one specific area. essentially what you would have with an LED like that in a halogen optic is an extreme amount of glare from unfocused light, TONS of immediate intensity, and a very short random range/width pattern. Photographing them can be tricky. i can make my HIDs look like they are WAY brighter then what they actually are and most cameras will go a default of a long exposure at night time even with a headlight source. this makes the photo seem like they are much brighter then they actually are.

Look back at the last picture where it is in that motorcycle light. TONS of light right off the bat but by the time its gotten to that crack thats maybe 10' in front of it theres nothing. All the light being captured there is from the cameras long shutter. if you really want good light you need to either a.) retrofit with proper optics b.) find some 9011/9012 HIR bulbs and run those. They wont have the color of HID, but the output is nearly identical.

tl;dr

without several of the proper optics to individually focus several individual LED drivers, its exactly the same as putting HID into your glarey ass HIDs in halogens

Problem:
so if they say output is good with LEDs you're going to buy HIDs
but you think LEDs would be a better choice than HIDs
and either way you're going to do it without projectors....

Solution
how about you just do everyone a favor and sell your damn truck already like you keep asking if you should, and buy a fucking honda so youll have more money to spend on your house in addition to the $100 a month you have putting into your buy a house fund, and buy a house somewhere without internet service.

Results:
everybody on the road doesn't have to deal with your fucking glare
you dont give HIDs or LEDs a bad rap
we dont have to deal with your stupidity anymore

i was actually going to buy robi's rcsb but decided not too by advice from some great forum members.
and i also turned down this offer.

also lol guy with ebay retro headlights that look gay as aids ripping on me not doing retro's.

and no i will be going with an LED in non reto'd housing if they say the output is good.

also everyone on here with HID's in their silverado has them in fucking stock housing except for james and you but :dnw: egay projector fgt lights

k bye

Don't buy fucking ebay projectors :fp:

I'm done beating the dead horse. Do whatever the fuck you want bro.

Did the thought ever occur to you too, that the guy selling you the LED's will tell you the output is good just to make money?

I'm selling used condoms, but I guarantee they'll work better than new because they've been tested and proven.

Nnbs's are one of the worst culprits for glare too. Sierra's especially

Their fog lights with HID are one of the worst ive ever had to drive against. I cant imagine being in a low car. they were SUPER glare fro up in a truck

Wants 6K color and better output. YUNO make sense? :yuno:

I'm going to give it a shot with the lifetime led headlights.
3100 lumens each. 70w and shouldn't have issues with flickering in a CANBUS system like my cummins has.
I'm having a fucked time. Tried both morimoto harnesses And my shit will just shut off when I'm driving.
Tried the mopar spec harness and the inline canbus relay/error eliminator.
Both do the same BS.
Submitted a dealer app with lifetime led and it brings the cost down to about what a set of morimotos runs.
I'll let yall know how they turn out

Doesn't matter how many watts or lumens they put out, the focal point is not the same as a halogen bulb which the headlights were designed for. They just won't work.
