Get a normal light bar if you are going to run one. I'm very against them all together now but the normal style is much less ricer.

I think I am going to scrap the lightbar plans and try to stick with subtle custom changes. I'm not knocking trucks that have them or their sense of style.. but I am starting to think it's not a good fit for this particular ride.

Update : made it through the instructions on the cts2. Waiting on my Autocal to arrive and I will be downloading my existing tunes to send to atptrucks / 'Idaho Rob' for custom re-tuning. I'll have the other parts ordered for my dash today (I've been slacking.. that whole getting married thing  :turborofl:) so I can get it back together and move on with a few other planned upgrades.

Hope to make some more progress this weekend. Still shopping for mods anyway.. so no rush at the moment.

Took out the front fender wells, and I need to order new plastic rivets.. mine are looking pretty beat up.

Large harness passing through firewall. I plan on either using this for my wiring or find another way through.
(Foglights, EGT, BOOST, CTS2 & DSP5) I would like to keep them all together.

Pyrometer installed (CTS2) - I removed after this picture and installed the gauge pyro instead. I'll be putting the CTS2 pyro on drivers side.

Drivers Side - Looks like I need to cut away some of the shielding, aiming to install it in roughly the same location as passenger side.

Started raining, so I had to back it into the garage. I did clean up the gauge wiring a bit and started looking into getting everything connected.
I decided to pipe all the cabling through the grommet for the accelerator. I'll take a shot when that's complete.

No brackets on the gauges, just a test fit.

My boost gauge came with a line tap vs a compression fitting. I'll have to order / purchase one to complete the install anyway.
I don't mind the delay, I'll get everything else wired up and the sending unit in place until the parts arrive.

Progress. Got a little time to work on it tonight.

This 1/4 - 1/8 NPT brass fitting will do for now. I plan on upgrading my intercooling piping soon anyway.

I'll run an 1/8" tubing to the sending unit for the boost gauge.

I stuffed a rag in above the hole I drilled. (just make sure you can retrieve it!)

While I was at it, I finally installed my AirRaid Filter

Tomorrow I will finish up the tubing and run everything into some red 1/2" wiring loom I purchased and run it back through the firewall. After everything is back together I'll wash some of the internals down and clean things up a bit.

Not perfect, but it keeps it tidy until I tear it apart again.

I got everything through the firewall. Wiring up the ECM tomorrow and finishing engine bay work.
Moving into the cab and hopefully finishing up gauges and switches afterwards.

Too hot for gloves again ;)

Quick Update

I've finished all of the wiring in engine compartment along with a clean DSP5 install.
I've almost got all of the cab wiring complete with the new LED toggle switches.

I've installed 2 near the radio that run my fog lights & accessories and 1 near my dimmer that runs all the new gauges.
All of the wiring was soldered and shrink wrapped with new wiring loom.. it took some time but came out really clean.

Sample of install

Quick Update part Deux

Quick shot of the pillar wired + lit up. I am holding in place as I have not secured it yet.
I am going to pop it out one last time and tighten the gauges into place now that it is working.

Tunes are going out to ATP this week to get re-mapped by Idaho Rob.

I'll finish up and secure the looms under the dash with wire ties this week.. also need to hook up the dimmer to the gauges etc.
I fired up the CTS2.. it's cool I guess, but not in a rush to mount it. I'm happy with the pillar at the moment.
