Be a mad scientist with your product. Mixing products can save you from having to buy a special polish to use between wool&foam passes.
Different products react differently to different paints. For example, I wont use the same polishing sequence on a Lexus that I use on a BMW or a Mercedes. Test your products on a small area before you rape a whole car with a polish that doesnt work well with its clear. And Masking tape is your friend, keeps plastics black and keeps polish from getting into stuff such as wiper cowls.
Use rotary in a figure 8 pattern, keeps the pad moving. less likely to burn through edges and wont cause swirls. learned it from the head of detailing who worked at rolls royce at SEMA a few years back.
