Cornell's 2007 GMC Derpamax Build Thread

Cornell: where did you end up buying HIDs from? I'm lookin for a new source now since V-hids stopped carrying theirs

Place on ebay. Usautopart4u... Giving them a shot. Got 4 kits for 130 bucks

Xentecs? Mine work pretty well. Little slow warming up, but they worked fine, plug right into factory harnesses. we'll see how long they last, but the lows have ahd xentecs in there for a year at least and no issues

Got them all installed yesterday. Stock gmc lights throw light so bad. I want denalis with tsx projectors

I know you hate demodding your other truck, but why don't you take the denali's off it, since it is in the name of safety for yourself and other drivers :cheeky:

im with this guy, but ONLY because the safety of fellow people on the road..safety is the key here Matt..

quick question, are switch backs plug n play, or do u have to splice some shit together for a 2006 silverado?

Plug and play, you will need to do the flasher mod or get load resistors so you don't get hyperflashing.

Honestly the denial's were not all that i thought they would be. Even with those foreground limiters (the non stepped shield) there is a ton of light right infront of the truck as gets less intense as you progress further out to the cutoff. But the color is nice and the cutoff is tits but the old reflector lights put a lot more on the road

Flasher mod probably, since you steady have the board. You would have to go buy the resistors and IIRC they are like $20 a piece.

My switchbacks cost me 24$ for the pair... The mod will cost more then the actual bulbs lol. Where's the thread on how to do this? I really don't feel like splicing wires n shit though.. It's been a while since I did that.
