Alecks' hopes and dreams thread.

They are but are in a super tight spot. Not sure what tool to use to get them off either.

Angled pick. There's a cover that you slip off and use the pick to pry out the c-clip. Oh and that cutoff is amazing

Pic of said tool? And thanks man

Those c clips suck cock. One let loose on my impala and I got trans fluid all over me

If the line wasnt all janky that wouldn't have happened though. Honestly getting them out isn't bad, it's getting them back in when it's in a tight spot

I've heard they're a bitch. Just don't know what tool out there is made for those things so I don't have to fight them

said clips. What I do is I lay the pick flat agains the clip and turn I towards it and pry it out. If I were you, if you wanna save money, try taking out the clips on the lines that go into the radiator. More room to work with so you can get a feel for it. Once you see how they come out, they'll get easier for you.

Keep your thumb over the clip when removing or cup your other hand over it. It may shoot off into the sunset never to be seen again. Lol. Ask me how I know.

Hate it when that happens. Luckily O'Reillys carries an assortment of them of all sizes. And once you take them out, snap them back in place so you don't lose them. The line will still go over the clip.

Or put a magnet by it when you pop it off. When I worked in a Gm dealer those things were worth gold we lost them so much

Went out of town for work one time and I had to take the lines off of a truck. One of the clips went flying and never found it but luckily the auto parts store had some in stock.

At our Gm dealer we rarely had them in Stock cause they disaperaed. Lost 2 when I did my tranny lines on my nbs...only had one in Stock

Anyone heard of Spartan Lockers? Been reading up on them a bunch and they seem like a solid choice for trutrac.

Puttingthem in isn't bad, do it before you put the line in so you aren't fighting that and just push the line in, pull on it to make sure it's fully seated t ho, I ended up rebuildinga GM crate trans with like 4 miles on it and on my own personal time washing the entire undercarriage of a nbs suburban because I had a line blow off (yes my boss was fucking pissed)

Going back tomorrow to have them fix the crookedness and weld the rest of the tip (don't know why the fuck they just tacked it on)
