Samuels 05 sierra crewcab build

box is in. Hope she fits as good as it looks!!!!! Im already assuming a lose a ton of cushion in my back seats.
Subs fit perfectly into the box.

Nice. Would be interested in something like that. Not happy with mine right now, it's behind the seat and if I wanna really bump something I have to fold the seats down cuz the subs have less than 1/8" of excursion room to the seat frame

What's the specs on that box again? Might have to do this instead of making my own. They make them for 8"?

installed pics fgt

Weather has been absolutely nasty I need to get some pictures.

Yes he does make them for 8"s Just call matt, and tell him what subs you got and what your wanting and he will make it happen. Hes very knowledgeable.
As said he manipulated this box to work with the subs i had.

The box is .5 cube per chamber.

The only issue im having with the box is the 40 passenger side seat wont latch its very close.
Due to him having to make the box higher to allow more excursion room than normal for these woofers.

Ill prob have to gap the seat up about 1/4" to 1/2" then she'll be fine. Other than that the box fits perfectly, the 60 driver rear seat latches perfectly fine, although some cushion is lost from the large baffles to make way for the magnets its not bad at all, just noticeable.

The box is stout/heavy and well made. The subs and box together sound amazing and i dont regret not a penny spent on this combo.

How much more did he charge for the mods to the box?
Nothing, i paid 164 shipped.
All he had to do was make the baffles larger. The depth of the box worked but baffles were not large enough to fit the 7.25" OD mags of the SD-2 10"s

All this time you could have built a box to fit. What is the net area per sub now that the box has been modded?
I dont have time between work, school, and building my isuzu on the weekends. I also didnt feel like messing with it. What i did have was extra money just to have someone build it. Also, I was in no hurry really. I feel I paid a very very very fair price for the box i received.

he did the math and told me after displacement of my sub with the mods he calculated .43ish per chamber. Subs call for .5, but thats nearly impossible under the seat unless i wanted to raise a inch or so which i told him i did not want too.

That's actually not that bad, for that price I might just give him a call so I don't have to deal with making one lol.

Thats what im saying/getting at.
For not having to deal with all them small pieces and such, not worrying about fitment, clean and tight...... it was worth the 2.5 week wait and $16x.00 i paid for the box. Ill try to get some pictures soon of fitment for you all. And the issue of the 40 passenger seat not latching.

Just make sure if/when you do order call or let him know some way of the subs you plan to use, so he knows if he needs to mod the box before its built.

but u are dealing with fitment issues

price aint bad for time he probably spent on it.

Eh not really. He told me before he started the build as a warning.

In order to make it work hes going to have to leave 2" of excursion room he gave me fair warning i MAY have to lift my seats. So i knew going into this gaping the seat up some may be needed in order to fit the box. If i would have got the regular 03-07 CC box it would fit no problem. I may be able to latch seat if i slam it i really didnt try it.

I was more along the lines of talking about sub fitting it box, slapping floor, and box shaped right.
