Long story so I copied from the Live thread lol

Longgg story so I'll just give the main points. Last Saturday he told me and my buddy he had a bank that would do the deal, but to check with my bank (suntrust) to see if I could get a better rate. So I called them and the guy took all my info and the trucks info and told me it'd be no problem, go ahead and take the truck. Well Tuesday rolls around he calls me and says they changed their mileage policy 2 months ago to 100k or less and he wasn't aware.

So I called the lot and said we'll do it through your guy. His bank calls me on Thursday to get info from me and the lot owner calls to tell me to lie to the bank and say I "traded" the Cobra in. I didn't like that at all so I called it off and told him I'll just bring the truck back, that's fraud and I don't like any of that. Well he tells me "the deal's done, I'm gonna pay off your Cobra and you'll take the truck". I'm like NOOO, that was never the original deal, you're not getting my Cobra, the deal can't be done cuz the bank never called me to inform me everything had been finalized, not to mention you're losing by paying off my Cobra, I don't like the deal, lets just call it off and be done. So I took it back yesterday, we signed papers saying the deal was off and I got half my down payment back.

It sucked, especially losing some money, but I'll chalk it up to lesson learned. Next time, I'll get with my bank first and get pre-approved for an amount so I don't have to deal with a bank I'm not familiar with, etc to make sure it's all good and I'm not taking the truck home till the deal's final. I never would've taken the truck home if my bank hadn't told me that it'd all work, go ahead. So I'm just taking a step back, gonna sell the K5, put that toward my NBS fund and put money away slowly for a big down payment and try again in the fall.
