ls6 cam?

I know you have done your research, but I have always been told that the ls6 cam just isn't worth the effort. Good luck either way, truck is getting the business!

For the guys looking for real big performance or for a cam that will still give the truck the ability to be a "truck", I'm sure the cam isn't worth it. I'm not taking this thing to the track, I just wanted a setup that gives me a little lope,

This is what I'm going with:
Ls6 cam and springs
Hardened pushrods
Trunion rocker upgrade
Ls7 lifters and ls2 trays
Calspeed longtubes
3200 stall and vette servo
Blackbear tune

If I add 50 rwhp I'd be ecstatic.

by that I meant, for a better spec'd cam you can gain a tad more, but not sacrifice anything. Like say a 212/218. Especially with that stall. Either way, I am sure you will be happy, the LS6 cam is definitely better than the stock cam.

I know what you're saying man. Quite a few people have said that same thing. I don't plan to install all this until April. I've got to do this front suspension redo and this avalanche before I can do this. If something comes along better then I may scoop it up, but the deal on this cam was way too good to pass up.

Parts are starting to come in

Good choice on not using the LS6 cam. The 224 will be a night and day difference and I think you would have been disappointed with the LS6 cam.

Such a tough decision to make! The truck looks so good as is, but I know it will look good with that combo.

I vote bumper but keep shaved gate for now.
