How much do you need to trim from a coil to equate one inch. And can you trim the passenger side coil to fix the Chevy lean?

Dont qoute me, but I beleive to fix the lean u actually need a lift shackle out back of 1"...someone else will chime in.

However, If you do cut coils, do a bit at a time. Both my red and white rcsb have trimmed coils. If you cut about 1/2 a coil off a nbs spring for a RCSB it nets you about 1"....at least both my trucks where like this. Be prepared to put it in and out a few times

This. Make sure you take your time.

It'll probably be less of a headache to get adjustable shackles then. I have them right now but they won't adjust from 1" to 2". Only 2" of drop

Could just drill a hole in your shackles? Wouldnt that save him extra money to but adjustable ones.... Dont see why it would mess them up.

If his shackles have room for it, yes. Just drill the hole 2" lower on the shackle for a 1" drop rather than 2".

My shackles had the hole for 1inch drop but the leaf wouldnt fit in there because the support of the shackle ran across. I had to trim it with a grinder.
