Static NBS Thread 99-07c

see a lot talking about one piece drive shafts on their CC.
Learn from my experience. I went 9 out back with mine and started blowing transmissions. after 7-8 trannys in one year i found out my DS was too long.

Two pc swap, havent broke one yet

I need to swap my 1PC for the 2PC sitting under my shed but you know... got plenty of other stuff to do first.

Wondering if I could get some help.

Have an 05 sierra 1500, 2wd, 4dr short bed.

Wanting to do a 3/5 on it. But I have some doubts it'll work with the 305/75/22 rims I have. Any insight on this. Also if ya'll have suggestions on kits or brands would be appreciated.

Biggest tire I would attempt to run on 3/5 is 305/40/22 they are 29.7" tall..if your post wasnt a typo and you are running a 305/75/22 those are 40" tall so no they wont work lol

There is no budget. An it wasnt a typo. They are SS replica wheels.

What would I have too you to get it to work? Either kit or wheel wise?

wtf 305 75 22. never seen that tire size. like stated that's a 40" tire. you couldn't even run that on stock height truck much less lowered. you got be giving wrong info. to make it work go to a 265 40 22 or 265 35. 2" spindles, factory spring cut, 6" flip kit 1" lift shackle.

Im running it now. The tire size is right. The wheels themselves are 22×10 replica silverado SS wheels. I already have a set of drop shackles on the truck butbi want to close the gap more.

Best ride is coilovers up front.

Or drop spindles and cut your stock spring or buy v6 springs.

Flip kit for rear as stated.

I think you mean 305/45? You will need smaller tires when I was at 3" drop in the front with 285/35/22 I had to roll my fenders I was on 3inch coils

I wouldn't run a 285 on ss wheels. I wanna say they 10in wide but the offset sucks on them. id run a 265 35 or maybe a 265 40 which would be cutting it close. definitely not 305 75 though. probably 305 45 like state which you couldn't even do a 2 4 drop with.

Damn. Ok. I dont want to roll my fenders. Thats a little extreme just to make them work. If I drop tire size. What would ya'll suggest going with for 3/5 kit. Is a flip my best bet. Or leaf swap, with new shocks and 3in drop coils up front.?

Okay fellas I appologize. Sleep deprived last night. Tire size is actually 305/45/22. Checked it with fresh set of eyes this morning. Lol

Now that there is correct info any insight?

yhanks for the info. Im new to this forum and the app. Still trying to find my way around.

Okay. Ill have yo look into the cost of new rubber then.

Any suggestions on which kit to purchase? Budget is really no issue just want the best componets for it.

Smaller tires will be a must I personally like the 285/35 on my 22x10 replicas it's a meatier tire but like I said I did have to roll my fenders just a tad not much but to avoid the headache you could run a 265.
A flip kit is the easiest way leafs are a pain in the ass

And the front you could do spindles and a 1"coil or 3" coils
