Like I said its never been touched, original 239 was bad about 30 years ago and my dad took the front apart to pull the engine. I want to bag it on the stock axles, run skinny wheels and tires and swap in a new engine and trans. But keep the body all original with a fresh paint job.

Please do this. That's what I want to do with a 67 C10

simple 4 link out back and a dropped axle will slam it.

 it's so true though. I love patina, don't get me wrong, but a perfectly polished paint job is hard to beat

Its so over done kind of like when people purposely put a shitty floor in a rat rod without a trans tunnel, real patina I like there are even some fake ones I like. I don't think I could ever own one, would be like dating a model its fun to look at but fuck actually dealing with it everyday dnw the drama just like I dont want to have to wash the rust dust off my hqnds every time I check oil or put gas in it, I should have left the gaping rust holes in the 88 because thats the cool thing now.

Yeah ive seen a 65 ford with a 4" drop axle in front, guy built bag mounts and 4 link bars that bolted onto the stock leaf spring mounts to bag with the original axle. Now that i know it can be done thats my plan, is bagged and linked all the way around. Never see bagged f100s around here and no patina crap for me. This truck is solid and rust free so it deserves a good paintjob imo
