This pic could have been good if I would have noticed the damn power lines.

Not sure if this is a good shot or not?

Not sure what your camera can do, if it is point & shoot or dslr. I would've had a longer shutter speed on the last one to let in more light and brighten it up a bit. I like it like that too though haha

Edit: also the top third-ish is almost all grey clouds. I'm assuming further down was just dark trees though, so not bad with the scene you were given.

Also not trying to come off harsh or anything, just offering an opinion to try and help ya :shake:

No I appreciate the tips. I believe on that pic it was a quick shot with the camera on auto mode, I didn't have much time before it got too dark lol. The camera I have is a Nikon Coolpix P510.

I needa stop BS'in and get the pics I took from the Ranger game last year with my cousins 55-200mm lense (or it was bigger, cant remember)

I want to see how they turned out but going to family land this tomorrow so may try and bring out the camera then and see what I can snap.

Im by no means a pro or anything at this, its just a hobby that I enjoy. I dont know how to mess with different settings or anything on the camera, I just change the dial for what Im shooting, change my focal point and aim and shoot. I consider I take decent pics for not knowing a whole lot though. I just like taking a crisp good picture. Here are a few from Yesterday when I went to my grandparents to fish, shoot, and relax.

Sorry for the long post with all the pictures.

Concentrate on getting your whole subject in the frame (the fish tail is cut off in a couple pictures, so is the top of the flag pole and some of the tree branches). Little details like this can ruin an otherwise good photo.

Ok thanks for the tips. I wasnt really doing much on the fish, I just happened to have my camera around me cause there are two hawks nesting in a nearby tree I wanted to try and get some pics of so I brought it then figured I'd take a pic of the fish to change it up. But thanks for the pointers. Feel free to through anymore my way that you can think of :shake:
