3 GM's and a Jeep
Hi I'm new here, started on FSC, then went to GMFS, now here hopefully 3rd time is the charm.

I have a 2004 Silverado crew cab 4x4, and an 88 Sierra shorty 4x4

This is the 88, its pretty rough now but I plan on restomodding it(I hate that word but its the best way to doscripe what Im going to do)
Plans are to restore body, suspension and steering in the proccess add a 6" lift, shackle flip in rear, 6.0/4l80E combo, GMT800 seats(black leather/black suede inserts), custom center/sub box, convert interior to black, black suede headliner, 5% tint on rear and roll downs, 20x10or12 Weld Dunes with 35x12.50 Toyos or Trails.

and word, I got temp banned from both, for some reason they lifted my perma on gmfs, but harassed my via pm all the while doing it
 
thanks for the wlecome guys, I cant wait to get going on the 88. I'm going to start pulling it apart after I get back from vacation so begining of July it will start getting some love.
 
Sp guys, when I do my 6.0 should I do the swap before or after the lift? I plan on running headers, so I wondered about clearance on an OBS with NBS headers anyway then throw a lift on would they even fit? On the otherhand with the lower stance the truck would be easier to work on.
 
I'd do a 6.2 I mean you're already gonna buy a motor. Just pony up and get the 6.2.

6.2's aren't cheap. I was gonna swap one into mine and couldn't find one under 4k. Found 50-60k mile 6.0s all day for 2k

6.2 is a bit of a different swap not a simple as the 6.2

word, they are expensive as hell a 6.0 with cam and headers would be as powerful as a stock 6.2 with less cost.
