NBS 99 07 interior thread

Mine had some sort of adhesive then thick strips of velcro holding it up.

Now I suppose I going to wait till I can find another, before I finish tearing this one down. Didn't you suede your visors or did you dye them? How hard was it?

75 is just for changing the color basically. It's still the factory fabric. Not suede or anything fancy. But yeah i thought about it. Then I'd have to paint the pillars and roof accessories too. Ain't got time for that

Just dyed them, want to suede them but DNW to mess with taking them apart. Wasn't that hard, just a bottle of dye and a foam brush and 30 min or so.

All the videos I watched were saying dye, but all of it was in a spray can. I thought dye came as a liquid you applied by brush or sponge.

I want to paint stuff, but it's too cold now :okay: garage is heated but then I can't open doors for fumes

Going to start sanding my interior pieces for the regular cab. What's the best way to get the factory die off the dash pad? Mineral Spirits? I know some people powerwash their's off but it's winter and cold as shit out.

Also, I want to paint the passenger dash handle. Do I need to glass it?

I like when corny asks questions. It reminds me he is human and not some super genius, lol.

But iirc, don't use any chemicals in the dash. It will turn it white. Power washer is the best bet. Just suit up, throw some gloves on and go to town on it real quick. I'm not exactly sure about the grab bar, but I've seen several painted before. Peyton painted his

Do you want the grab handle smooth? Not sure how you'd smooth it to be honest. I painted mine with bulldog adhesion promoter and SEM semi glass black. It's held up pretty well.

Do not use and chemicals on the dash pad, ask me how I know  unfortunately, power washing seems the safest and most effective way to go man, sorry.

lol I don't know shit. Just enough to be dangerous.

If I don't know something I either:

1. Go on Youtube and get my Ph.D

2. Play Corny and the fuck-around gang until it works

3. Give up and pay someone else to do it

In that order.

I guess I'll go power wash that turd tomorrow. So glad I have a spare dash pad.

Think a SA 12" in a gutted center console would have enough airspace? I guess I'm going to find out. :uhohshrug::turborofl:

I should have gotten a 8 or a 10 instead. Anyone want to trade? It's brand new, never been out of the box.

I accidentally removed some with acetone... Could see it working but since have power washer and it's 80 here in Cali lolol, also gutted center no way big enough for sa-12 IMO
