My new build - Need help with ideas 2001 GMC Sierra 1500

Consider the cognito leveling kit with the new upper control arms and the bilstien shocks. The get a zone 1.5" body lift. That will put you right around 4" lift in a package that's pretty high quality
 
I was about to say i cant do a body lift because of abs(its illegal in maine) then i realized mine doesnt have abs! i will look into it, thanks
 
Got em installed ,I have a question though.... for the bumper lights i need to have an amber turn signal, so is there an amber bulb available to get? if not i wont be able to do those.....

You can't clear the parking lights. The amber corner is painted or dyed on. In order to have clear lights, you need to get some eBay parking lights. Then you can throw some amber LED 194 and 3157 bulbs from V-LEDS or get some switchbacks

I looked at it during the day, they didnt seem like they were amber bulbs, i will check the next night its not 0* with a -15 wind chill

Haha no, the damn plow truck went around flinging rock salt everywhere, the only spots i can see on the truck that need touch up is the rear wheel wells are bubbling a bit
 
So i believe I finally sold my car so i can finally start putting more into my truck... i've been considering a full 4in rough country lift because i got more than thought i would. So if I were to go with that, what are some of your opinions on these? http://maine.craigslist.org/pts/3546960455.html They are jesse james and they have toyo m/t, 2 passable, 2 not.... thoughts?

I'm not a fan of those wheels, but that's your preference. Doesn't sound like the best deal if only 2 of the tires are good.

Edit: Someone else may chime in, but I'm pretty sure the RC 4 and 6" kits are pretty much the same. They both drop the diff 5" and you either decrank for 4" or crank for 6" IIRC.

If you are going to get the RCX kit just get the 6" and decrank to 4" and leave out the AAL. They are the same price and then if you decide to run 35s you just crank and throw in the AAL.
 
What they said ^^ no to the wheels, and get the 6". That way you have what you need already if you decide to go more up

For the time being I put my dads old American Racing rims w/ 265 grabbers
The tinted bumper light is only temp because my roommate needed a sticker and those will fail ya here

Finally sold my car... here is what im planning on....
Rough Country leveling kit
16x9 or should i get x10s? chrome wheels... any input on what might look decent?
Edit: What backspacing would be best?
305/70/16 either nitto m/t or fierce attitudes
Audio upgrades
Maybe denali's with either the morimoto retrofit with hids not sure yet
clear bumpers
color match all handles, mirrors
exhaust & intake
eventually headers/chip etc

What are your thoughts???? Any no's/changes i should make?

Edit2: convinced to do 18x10s and my brake lines went so fixing that is what ill be doing today
