My 2011 GMC Crew Build (Bayou Betty)

Love the idea and love several forged wheels but don't like those, what you like is what matters but I'd have to agree with Tony.

Correct me if I'm wrong but your intros are forged aren't they?

From what I understand, Intro/Raceline are 2 piece welded...they have different size hoops and then they cut the face design out of a few inch thick piece of aluminum and weld that into the hoop.
Forged, I believe is all one piece, I believe they make the entire wheel from one solid block of aluminum...I'm not sure if they cut it or press it into shape with some kind of high pressure machine.

American Forces are considered forged. They only make wheels for lifted truck because I guess the way their machine/or model is setup is only for that specific offset/width. That's why they don't make wheels for lowered trucks. Intro can make anything. Just tell the the width and backspacing and you can have a 20x12 for a slammed truck or a lifted truck.

I thought intros were forged. Just 2 or 3 piece. Like as in the hoops and faces are forged then welded together. Just like a lot of wheels for cars are forged 2 and 3 piece. I always thought that's how intro and race line did theirs also.

They take a block of forged aluminum and machine out the face just like American force does with the whole wheel, I'm not sure how the hoops are made though.

White truck is being sold next weekend, buyer was approved for loan so now this will be my focus until I save for another toy!

The only update I have is that she is completely stripped apart and they should be removing the cab to begin building the 3/4 frame under the cab.
