There junk i have on on my truck,and we bent my buddys truck a while back with the same notch.Either switch notchs, or beef it up alot,welding just the notch in wont do shit,first it needs to go on a frame machine,then fully boxed in.You also have a crew cab with horrible bed sag.

Ok. On tapatalk and can not see very well. Ok well that settles it, Sony buy DJM notches, unless you plan to weld and what have you.
 
Lol. I mean yea that sucks. But I still can't trash talk them in good conscience. I've had mine on for a good while and I've towed/hauled some heavy shit. I think it a major player in it is the installation. Mine is welded, so maybe that's why
 
justin take a 2x3 and stick it through the notch,and weld it in,one it gives more support,2 it really helpd clean up the wiring ALOT

Qiuck Q.. I am a welder and also have access to benders so i can make my own notch. I am gonna make one like McG's so i dont have to cut the bed.. Can someone tell me how thick the plate is for the notch?? I was thinking about using 3/8 or 1/2.. Also the measurement for how high to make the notch or how high to cut into the frame?? Thanks guys
