ITGuy's 2003 Sierra 1500/2500 4x4 RCLB Build Thread

just find some keys that some 1500 kid took off for leveling keys,

i sold mine for cheap after i put leveling keys on mine.

I think I tossed mine when I leveled the 1500 frame.

I'll get some this week, no prob. Thanks for the help. I want it to be perfect.

I think have stock keys I'll ship you if you can't find any, let me know and I'll get a price on a shopping.

Thank you! I'll keep you posted, but may take you up on that. I have a junkyard about 10 miles from here as well.

How far was the key hanging down/out of the crossmember unloaded? The stock 2500 keys should be just about level with the bottom of the crossmember, and are very easy to load up and put the keeper in. 1500/ lift keys for you, will hang down a quite a bit from the torsion crossmember, and be much harder to load up. from my experience, cranking a 2500 with factory keys will net about 1.5" of lift. with 1500 or lift keys in a 2500, you can go from about 2-3.5" of lift, or however far till it touches the droop stops.

I was just under my friends dmax yesterday and removed a broken adjuster bolt, so I'm pretty sure on how far the stock keys hang down.

I posted some pics of it unloaded, and it looked OK. A few pages back. They did hang down below the cross member, but were not too much trouble loading once I got the angle correct on the tool.

Up we go. Alignment time.

Started it in the shop to back it out, auto lights came on, and someone probably hit the highs on accident

Or it's wired for HIs to be DRLs. Idk why or how but I see GMCs that way all the time
