If I do the downpipe, should I do the exhaust as well?

That also leads me to thinking if I do EGR full delete a bit later, I will need to change up pipe ..so I would have to tear it all back apart.

The only thing stopping me from getting it all is that I don't have a tuner yet and wouldn't be able to tune out anything. I would be tripping mad codes everywhere.

^this. Guy came in to pick up some camaro stuff yesterday with a straight piped LLY and it sounded beastly

I'm going to do a complete system, downpipe back (since I am installing DP too)...I don't mind a kitty delete, but not gonna run straight pipe yet. ;)

Decision time - Black Coated, aluminized steel or a plain stainless? Kinda leaning towards black although it's a lil more $. Looking for a low rumble.. deeper tone.. 5" would be really sweet. I like the big single over dual exhaust.

Maybe 35's on 20-22's w/ 6" lift. If I go up I don't want to have to change things out anymore.
37's might pose an issue getting in & out of my garage..

6" lift, chrome 22x12 Gear 726, 325/55R22 Nitto Trails :imo:

These are the wheels incase you don't know

Reminds me of MM962's which are great as well. I was really leaning on machined because my chrome rims started to pit only after a couple of months. Maybe I just got a bad batch and should give chrome another shot. :uhohshrug:

I'll get to the lift + rims n tires after I get paint + exhaust squared away.

I had a 4" straight pipe on extended cab and I have a 5" on my crew. To me I didn't notice much of a difference. I also put a downpipe on my crew and really didn't notice a difference

not much difference between the 4" and 5" only when you start running huge power same with the down pipe.and i am sure 5" is a bit louder

the down pipe only adds around 10-15hp but is mostly there to keep you EGT's much lower

also don't do an intake till you are around 600rwhp+ becasue its useless, just do the air box mod link: DIY - LBZ Airbox Mod - Diesel Bombers

also if you lift make sure you get traction bars... even if you don't lift it these are highly recommended.

also if i where you i would do EGR delete and not just block it because mine is already leaking and i have heard of a few cases of the plate leaking

Thank you. I would be doing EGR full delete for sure along with PCV reroute + an Lb7 Up Pipe at the very least. I can go in and do that later though. I don't suspect it will be so hard removing the downpipe again as the stocker.

I am hoping to see some cumulative gains from the exhaust + downpipe combo.
