Huck's 2006 Sierra Crew

Idk what it is specifically, it stores plenty and is less intrusive for sure, but I just like the full toolbox better

I don't understand the disdain for toolboxes  At least I'm not getting a chrome one that'll stand out like a sore thumb. This'll blend in, you'll hardly notice it. At least this serves a purpose, I would think cab lights would be a worse offense since they serve no purpose at all :cheeky:

I have an under rail toolbox in mine and it holds more that I need it too. Plenty of room for all of my tools, Jack, jackstands, jumper cables, and a small gas can. Hell I think there is even a pair of stock spindles in there too. With plenty of room left over

Oh I know an under the rail holds plenty but there's 2 problems with them. 1) I don't want to drill holes for one (A because don't want big holes in the floor, B because I want to be able to take it out easily if I need to haul something decently big, stupid reetard short bed). 2) I won't be able to reach anything in it without getting in the bed cuz I'm short and my truck's tall. Hell, I already won't be able to reach the middle of an over the rail

Quick poll, when I get my handles/mirror painted, should I paint my rear bumper plastics or get a paintable bumper and leave plastics black? I'm leaning toward painted bumper/black plastics since tailgate spoiler will be black and the front bumper is basically all white.

Chrome bumper, painted plastics. I'm biased though.
This and painted cap or shaved tailgate imo
But I'll have more black on my truck than yours since my bedrail caps/tailgate cap can be seen plus a black toolbox....
Paint bed rail caps....prawfit.

If you do a tool box, I think a chrome one would flow better with the truck since it will be mostly white/chrome. But I'd still do an under the rail. I've wanted a tool box since I bought this truck but I've just never wanted one bad enough I guess lol. I only keep a medium size tool kit, a tool bag of straps/bungee cords/etc, jumper cables, tow strap, extra hitch, and a roadside emergency kit. Most of it stays behind the back seat and on the floor in the back.

You think black toolbox isn't going to stick out like a sore thumb against white rich with chrome wheels? :lolwut:

Did someone say something about a tool box? :cheeky:

For real tho, I struggle with this decision too, the one I have is way to big and with my ladder rack takes up so much room and kills the look, I'd love an under rail box but then I won't be able to slide plywood and 2x4's and shit under it and lose the one major plus side to an 8' bed. As far as not reaching stuff in an under rail, you won't be able to in an over either, then you'll brush the side of the truck and you'll hate that cause of clean paint. I gotta figure this out soon tho cause its almost time to start swinging a hammer again

People hate tool boxes because they act like these trucks are collectors pieces and show trucks. Heaven forbid that people actually use a truck for a truck. I think the black low pro UWS boxes are great. I have a swingcase and I really like it. I dont carry enough crap in my truck anymore to warrent a full box but if I did, UWS black hands down

Can't paint rail/gate caps cuz I'll fuck em up bad. I actually use my bed and I always gouge/scratch the fuck out of them. A fresh coat of Krylon fusion satin black every year is all I'll do. I can't carry around everything I want to right now cuz my amps/subs have 80% of my storage space plus tools and shit rattle and would drive me nuts in the cab. Can't handle it. So toolbox is needed

Uh, yeah cuz black rail caps.
