I use Eastwood hot coat kit. Just using an old home oven.

Dakota it's getting matched. Fuck the chrome. Bored with it. Lol

Eddie I removed extra coil stud mounts. OE finish is quite uneven. Would take quite a bit of sanding/polishing.
 

Having the 2 leftover holes filled tomorrow and will blast/powder to match timing cover

Cleaned/conditioned coils, powdered the metal sleeves and brackets, stainless hardware otw.


I know its from a while back, but I've got a set of valve covers I cut the bosses off of and welded in the holes, but I'm curious how smooth did the powder come out over the factory rough texture? I'm not sure how much I need to sand down the casting before having it powdered?
Also, how did you separate the coils from their metal covers?
 
it all depends on how thick you have the powder.


ive had some stuff powdered and you can see where the grinded touched it. other stuff, you cant tell at all.
