2wd 72 bronco build

the back half of the bronco frame did you sandblast it of spend your time wire wheeling it?

I just wire wheeled it with a twisted cup. It still needs smoothing out. I just got all the big nasty stuff off it and then sprayed it with paint so it was easier to mark for setup. It took less time to wire wheel it than it would have to sandblast it.

Little update. I have been remodeling my bathroom so I have not worked on it in 2 weeks but I have the s10 frame stripped completely. Just need to clean it up and start cutting. Then the fun starts

Forgot to update this. This is where I am at nowish

Frame has been lobed off so it's not sticking out any more but I am working on a core support and trying to find a rad that will work.

Leaving the outside just the way it is for a while. I want to enjoy this thing and not worry about it all the time like I do with the nova

Hell I think it's awesome. I'd love to have a project like this to build up, then beat on lol

I am going to run a th400 so now I can sell and scrap the rest.

OK so I made the decision that I am not happy with using the s10 clip and am going to build a new frame. This will allow me more flexibility in the front as that seems to be where I am having issues. I am going to use the s10 suspension geometry and control arms and spindles. Going with a manual rack and wildwood dual resi brake setup. I should have done this from the beginning.

What was the issue with the s10 clip?

I don't like how I ended up having to connect it to the rest of the frame. And I have fitment issues with getting the lm7 low enough and radiator fitment issues. Mostly because of how far forward it needed to be

Ah, gotcha. Probably better off building your own clip anyway, that way you can have everything exactly the way you want it.

Hnnnggg. Love seeing in depth builds like this. Especially something so different.
