Important!: 2009 Pontiac G8 GT build thread!



Figured I'd get an exhaust clip before it all changes up. Car wasn't making funky noise yesterday, still going through with the plan either way. It's not if the lifters will fail, but when?
 
Saw a baller white G8 slammed down in Charleston earlier. Would've snapped a pic but it was raining and in traffic.
 
Got new door trims coming. First set was messed up in shipping and just realized it. Seller shipped out a new set no questions asked. Should be here in two days. Can't wait to get the blackout trim on finally.
 
and finally found someone to unlock my ecm and not charge an arm and a leg. G8 Products this guy designed the software VMS uses, and those fuck sticks want $175 to remove my tune and load a stock file. Chris said he would do it for $50. So now I don't have to buy a new ecm or pay said fuck sticks a metric fuck ton to remove a shitty tune.
 
Good news you finally found someone. Redic the other guys wanted that much just to remove something real quick
 
Lesson learned. I didn't investigate vms too much. They were big on the forums, but I never looked them up much. Had I, I would have found several newer threads bashing them. Vector motorsports cam suck it!

I just need to figure out my exhaust and tune and I'm done.

No, I don't recall that at all...since it was just a locked ecm, not that big of a deal, just more of a headache than anything. Shitty tuners gonna lock ecms!
