04 RCSB Silverado Slow Build

03-05 used that style cluster. As far as gaining those features, I'm unsure. You may need to have the bcm flashed.

So I have decided now is the time more than anything to do an Escalade cluster swap. From what I've read its a direct plug and play. My question is as of now my cluster does not display engine oil life or mpg average. Just engine hours, trip counter, and odometer reading. If I swap to an escalade cluster will I gain those features? I am looking for one like the picture below, not to sure what model its out of I believe it is an 05 can anybody help with what model? I know in these trucks the milage is stored within the cluster itself so I will need to have it reprogrammed and also where should I look for one? I don't like rock autos price tag and gmpartsdirect no longer sells it. Since my truck is in miles and I live in Canada I am trying to avoid having to switch over to a km/h cluster.

And 2 mondays ago or so I got the truck side piped. Single 3" in dual 2.5" out flowmaster super 10 to 2 3.5" tips. Im diggin the sound.

That looks like mine, only I didn't replace mine, I had the steppers replaced, trans temp added, and esky overlay and rings added. Trans temp worked out of the box no bcm flashing needed, and I kept my mileage minus the few I put on the truck while the cluster was out. Think it was around $250-300 a few years back.

That's the site I had it done with

I think you're right, if it's even possible

What was the process of sanding the bumper cap and did you paint it with rattle can? Clean build by the way my truck is the same color but extended cab

Thanks man, for the bumper cap I took the bumper off the truck and scuffed the cap up with a scotch brite pad, layed a coat of filler primer, sanded the filler primer again, sprayed another coat and repeated this process until it felt smooth. Then did a final sand layed about 3 coats of color waited for it to dry did a wet sand and then sprayed with a 2k clear coat . Yes its all been rattle canned. Where I live we used rocks and gravel as oppose to salt in winter time so I figured instead of paying a shop to paint the front bumper a grand and have it get chipped to shit I did it myself for about 250$

Well todays been a good day, ended up picking up a cluster for 225$ from an escalade that rolled 5 times. Dealership wanted 650$ ebay was anywhere from $450-$900 (some being in usd and the canadian dollar sucks right now) Hopefully getting it programmed tomorrow and installed

Alrighty guys so got the cluster with my vin and milage on it. Pretty sweet the only problem is the odometer and trip meters are in km, while the bold face numbers on the speedo are in mp/h. I've been told I'll needa find a truck with steering wheel controls and switch the units over. My problem is the only person i know with this year of truck, is a dmax and i know caddy clusters dont go in dmax's

Now it may just be do to the current temps around here but my tranny temp hasnt moved off of 100 at all yet. Maybe once it was at half way to the first tick after the 100. But i thought it was plug and play? And im gonna be adding leds to the escalade cluster. Theres 2 ways i can go about it.
1. Using same setup i had in the old one with a little box with a reciever and remote that was hidden and looked clean. Input power on that is 12v in 6amps out.
Or
2. Using a inline rgb led controller that ill have to extend wires and run under the dash. Power rating being 12v in 12amps out.

Which one?

Alright guys heres where i need your help. Ive been looking at doing a 4/6 on this truck since i bought it november of 2014. Whats stopping me is the notch. From what ive read its 50/50 on the full will insurance care and will it total my truck or have a salvage title. 50% say do it right and they wont care. The o ther 50 say you're screwed if they find out. Any one ever been in an accident post notch and have insurance do anything? Any help would be appreciated. I would be going with a belltech bolt in notch but id weld it in aswell as bolt in. Any input?

I wouldn't worry about it. The notch is designed to make the frame just as strong as before. If you're really concerned, talk to your agent about it first. Look on belltechs website or whoevers notch you go with for a statement about strength or email them if needed.

But in all honesty, an insurance agent won't even catch that in an event of a wreck 99% of the time unless they're a car guy, I'd bet.

So nothing has changed beside led esky swap that I know have to replace the led strip in cause ebay. But the plan within the next couple months is to 4/6 the drop. I currently have belltech spindles and shackles for a 2/3 drop I will be adding belltech springs up front for 4" in total and throwing the stock shackle (ill have to buy them first) and will be doing the flip kit and notch from belltech. Now from my reading a 275/55r20 size tire is gonna rub like piss (they already rub now) So I should look at dropping down to a 45 series tire. The problem is im clueless about tires and have no Idea on what to look for. Only looking for a set of tires for the summer being how I have dedicated winters on seperate wheels. Any input?

Alright its been a big week, local tire shop had a big group buy on some zenna argus uhp's so I went and ordered a set, not the greatest tire but cheap and thats what I needed something to get me thru the summer till I find a set I really like, also ordered 2" coil springs for the front to go alongside my 2" spindles and a 6" rear flip and notch kit all from Belltech. Hoping by the end of April to have it all together and sitting at 4/6. Just needa find some stock shackles now

I've got a set of stock shackles from my 04 nbs ecsb I did a 5/7 mcgaughy flip kit on few weeks back.. Bushings and all are in good condition..

Dropped the truck off last thursday to only recieve a call from the shop stating I had a 2/4 drop 2" spindles 2" hangers and 2" shackles, the rear was different than what I thought (3" shackle which is what the previous owner had told me) so after tracking down some stock shackles and hangers the shop through it all together at first we left the spacer out being I wanted to test out the lowest I thought I'd ever go up front. PS HAd a little incident in a tight parkade downtown hense the paint chip in the bumper which I haven't gotten around to fixing yet.
5/6

Tires are a 275/45r20 and I was basically riding on my tires in the front so I decided to go to 4" upfront (which is what I originally planned for)
