01 Sierra Build

Figured out why the pinion seal was leaking. There was supposed to be a ring that went on with it that didn't get put on. Ordered a new seal with the ring...

Going to order a new rear diff cover and have it powdered candy red. It's thick aluminum and it's priced right...

Started working on the backing plate. Made a cardboard template and straightened out the lines afterwards...

Thanks, for the most part. Can't wait to get these leafs fixed and put on to level this thing out. Hard to tell how tall it is with so much lean...

Not sure yet, depends on if I can find some cheap 15" tires or if I come up with the $$ for 20x12's quick enough. If I do run the 15x12's, I will either get some 35s or 33s and run 2" spacers, which will look great width wise...

Found the ring seal that came off that goes on with the pinion seal and got that fixed/back together today...

Thanks coddeh! :cheeky:

As I am pretty strapped for a while, I just ordered some 35x12.50-15 Mastercraft Courser MT's thru the shop for $184 a tire. I am going to run them on my 15x12's with 2" spacers for now, until I can buy new wheels. I am either going to get 20x12 machined Krank's or thinking about getting 22x12 black/machined Ion 183's. If I get the black/machined Ion 183's I am going to sand off the black and try to polish them, if they won't polish up good I will just sand them for a "machined" look. Once I get them I can sell the 15" rims/tires and get new tires...

Can't wait to see it with some width!

Did you consider the 22x14 machined ions? Mr. Wheel Deal has them for not a terrible price...
