Dszx13's Yukon

E-fan harness I scooped for 80 bucks. It does run now. Won’t idle on its own but the tuner should be here later this week to knock that out. In the meantime I’m gonna double check everything an wrap the couple small things it needs.

It’s bone stock. Maybe 3k since the rebuild. It’s on the list for sure along with 4.11s. Priority is the front end. Everything up front is wore out. The motor loosing oil pressure and knocking kinda took over priority wise lol.

Nothing new. Need to have my tuner adjust a few things. Wants to die at idle on warm days. Other than that I’m happy. I friend of mine has a rcsb nbs with a cam only 6.0, few trans upgrades, 4.30 gear with drag radials. 12 second truck. Want to race to see where mine is at. Mainly to have him see it in action to help me figure out what I need to get it moving faster as in a better converter and a rear gear. Just did the oil change. Wasn’t sure as to what oil was best suited to my application I got this and the oe synthethic for the wife’s impala

Why you waste your money on that shit? Put some Mobil 1 in it for $20 jug and call it a day, or pennzoil if it's on sale, whatever.
You arent doing yourself a favor with that gaping micron rated wix either with that boutique oil.

I’ve read nothing but good about the oil. As for filters they all had mixed reviews

For gears with the weight of a Yukon and 33s you’re going to want 4.56s, I’ve been over geared(04 had 4:10s with 265s) and under geared(Burb with 3.73s and 295s) I’d rather be over geared every day of the week. I took the 04 from Iowa to Myrtle Beach and averaged right at 18 running 80ish for the entire 1300 miles.

I think I’m gonna end up with 4.56 and 3k converter. The converter I have now is real loose.

4.10’s on 285s seems to be a perfect match but the wheel and tire combo is right at 70 pounds each corner so that may have something to do with it as well.

Updates. Stock head bolts loosened and head gaskets leaked. Took heads to the machine shop. Had to shave 0.006 to correct them. Bought new head gaskets, arp head bolts, exhaust manifold gaskets, coolant, spark plugs, cheap oil and filter to flush the engine. And good oil to change after that. Also picked these up for 100. Needs tires but I couldn’t pass them up lol

Glad you got it figured out. Too bad that happened, but at least not much damage. What a steal on those wheels!

Got it back together yesterday. Put miles on it today. Set a p0106. Wants to die when I come to a stop or barely press the accelerator. Gonna throw intake gaskets at it since I haven’t changed them at all and see what it does. Anyways I got the 22s back on also.
