Your vehicles as they sit now!

Jealous of the interior and color and fact it's a V8, all stuff I wish mine had :/ lol....nice truck though, get a good deal?

Got lucky on all that stuff with this one lol. Got a decent deal I guess. It was valued at 19k by the dealer and I got it for a few grand less than that so not to bad.

Lol good. Velcro's awesome for some stuff tho. I use the "high strength" stuff to attach my HID ballasts, cuz I pretty much go thru a set of HIDs a year. That way I don't havta worry about glue/zip ties/tape/etc. Also use it to attach amps most of the time

Used electrical tape on all my HID connections. just to be sure its sealed. I did ziptie the ballasts down with a hunk of car tire underneath them so they don't ground out on the metal (heard of this happening confusing the computer sending the truck into limp mode) and actually had it happen once when my 5000k HID's died as well. I need to replace them already. ballast on drivers side taking shit. probably just replace the ballasts. lights got tons of life left in them.

I never worry about the connectors cuz they're weather-packs so they won't leak. But I use the velcro on the ballasts to attach them to the core support/inner fenders/wherever. It's thick enough to isolate it from the metal, and it's easy to detach/attach. I've never heard of it sending the truck into limp mode, but occasionally I've had issues with radio reception

On my old set, Xenon HID's 5000K with the fat ballasts. Drivers side light went out, almost immediately "reduced power mode" came across the DIC. slowed me down to about 35 on the highway. half hour drive turned in to a nice hour and 45 minutes

Add relays and that will eliminate the reduced power mode issues.

And looks good Alec, first pic I've seen you post in a loooong time haha
