Wheel bearing or hub?

I've got an 08 CCSB 4x4... squealing coming from passenger front. Wonder if it's a wheel bearing or hub?

wheel bearing and hub are the same thing :think: anyway, jack up the truck and try to wiggle it, did you look at the brakes, that would be my first guess.

Just had the brake replaced. It does it while im driving, not braking

You might want to double check that the didnt bend the warning tabs and they may be squeeling, i know my brakes were squeeling at the end of their life on and off of the brakes.

but to test the wheel bearing, jack up that wheel, and try to shake it like you would do test ball joints or tie rods, also spin it while in the air to see if you get any bad noises.

you had the brakes replaced? take it back to whoever did them and make them fix it

From my experience, hubs make more than just a "squealing" noise. It is more of a "hum" or "howl". Try inspecting the pads, and even slapping on lube to the pads. That, or they could just be cheap, noisy pads!

my right front hub made a squeak, first time I have had one that didnt howl
