I need to do more raw shooting. I just never set it to do so like I should.

I need to hit SF one night. I love the city and its 30 min away so it's perfect for long exposure.

I love the shots that are coming out of SF right now. I use IG mainly to follow photographers and a lot of them are based on the west coast. Long exposures would be sick there!

Might have to try raw on mine. Has the option, just wasn't sure of the benefits over jpeg.

It's definitely nice, especially when you think you blew the shot and can end up recovering it with a little work.

RAW is so much better then JPEG, however you have to know what you are looking at to be able to edit them fully. However, as a general, if you botch the shot in RAW, theres a 99% chance you can save it, as I posted up. I will be able to display the results of that shoot after the 12th, thats when she is making it public.

So I've been wanting to pick up an old manual focus ultra wide for the 5D for a couple years, and a week or two ago my buddy found a Vivitar 17mm f/3.5 with an M42 mount (easy to adapt to EOS) on ebay. Won the auction, and I finally got a chance to pick it up from my parents' house this weekend. Definitely going to be a fun lens, the widest I've been shooting with for last ~3 years is my 50mm.

Interested to see what the actual lens vignetting is like if that is brightened

Oh, and I love ultra-wide shots. I need to get some more before the cold weather gets the best of me.

I'll post some unedited shots later if I can remember when I get home haha.

Just picked up a cannon g16 point and shoot for on the go. Seems like it's going to be a pretty bad ass camera. Just got it today I'll post some pics as I play with it more
