Dat Static 4wd
Alright guys I've got a problem I've had since I got my truck and its been bothering me for quite some time, can't seem to trace it down..maybe yall can help
When I bought the truck the previous owner told me the power window motor on the passenger side was bad so I was like "ok cool, no big deal ill fix it later" come to find out he was a liar and told me a bunch of bs about the truck that I found out later on. Anyway I bought a window motor out if a suburban at u pull it, put it in and still nothing. So I bought a set of window motors from scottyboy and put them in, drivers works great but the passenger side didn't make a difference. Going through different things I thought it could be I decided to replace the passenger window switch thinking maybe there was a short or something, bought one from sanative put it in and yet again no different. I've checked fuses and can't find one that's bad..any ideas of what it could be? Sucks only being able to roll down my drivers side window

Last time I had the door panel off, I looked at the harness really good to see if it had been cut or spliced into and I couldn't find anything. The truck also doesn't have a book so I can't look at it for reference on the fuses/relays

Trace all wiring, not only inside the door but from the door to the fuse box. Did you check the hinge area and right under the dash where the wires come from the door. Wire gremlins are the worst. Are you experiencing and other power issues elsewhere in the vehicle?

v/r,
Stephan

No other power issues at all, I looked around the hinge area some before and it looked normal
I'm gonna pull the panel back off and look everything over again in the next few days or so..hoping something easy and fixable

pull the plug off the motor in the door and see if you get power when someone hits the switch. that will atleast get you and idea if its in the door or in the cab,

it makes me wonder if a wire has been pinched where it exits the cab and enters the door

Yeah what he said. Instead of just blindly replacing parts - start at the source with a multimeter. Trace the problem out - replace or fix bad thingy - BOOM dun.

Thanks dudes, I'm gonna try that this weekend

Thats the bonus of electric issues - most are fairly easy to trace if the issue isnt computer related.
