Marc new LBZ sort of a Build thread

put some tie rod sleeves on and gave er shit today...2000rpm so around 10-12 PSI in 4x4....that was fun.

here is a pic of the tie rods and my angles. will be de-cranking more at the track, but as you can see i am pretty close to rubbing ATM.



 
you prolly want different, lighter tires for the strip

yeah i thought about it, i actually bought a set of stock 2009 17" wheels but will have them on Saturday the day after the track.

but yeah its too late for that now ill just air down and hope for the best.

i also got a quick night shot the other day of my light out put...i think its pretty decent for some Phillips super white bulbs :shrug:

so i ran at the track yesterday was loads of fun since there was a ton of diesel guys there.

i only ran a best or 14.6 @ 88 mph launching at 2200RPM so that's like 14 psi of boost...... so lots of potential yet.

here is the video of my best run against a guy that ran 680 on the dyno today, and before this run he was putting down 12.10 runs till he changed the tunning.

finally doing some work on the truck.

getting so bored of just driving it.

might also buy some nitto 420's used for $400 with like 3k miles on them.

so i primed and sanded the door handles and some mirrors caps. they are almost done.

i am also getting a call today about a new hd bumper cap.

going to prep it my self for paint and then send it all in get the dent fixed and all that stuff sprayed professionally as it will cost the same as doing it my self.



also painted my SDP egr delete and volant air box cover and the sound resonator. that should all be put on including the down pipe as soon as i have a long weekend where nothing exiting is planned.

Trucks gonna look good with the new painted items. Toss up a pic of the engine bay when all installed.

Also it might just be me but launching at 14lbs of boost seems high. When I took my truck down I was launching at 8 and I nearly shartted my pants.

It was the only way to go faster.

I don't this it was 14lbs of boost though maybe 12lbs I'll see when I get my edge cts ordered what rpm is what psi. Also yeah pretty stocked to get cm'd stuff going

didn't post in here yet but i re did my tails ..they turned out pretty dark but i also cleared them so they look a lot better then previously.

thanks they look good in the pic but a little darker in person.


also got a new bumper cap and am currently priming and sanding it.

will have it all finished and ready to go to paint in 2 weeks.

i am also going to attempt to do the body work on my dent in my box.

and them get it too the paint stage and get it painted at the same time as my other shit.

right now with matts 80ish hp eco tune i get like 20-23 mpg on the hwy and around 18mpg with mixed driving. when being really hard on the truck and driving short distanced i still have a hard time getting worse then 16mpg.

yeah its probably better then your scoobaru lol.

if it had worse mileage id be more motivated to sell it, but there is really nothing that is worth replacing it with truck wise.

only other thing id want instead of this is a crew cab hilux diesel truck with low miles but those are like 15-20k so that makes it not worth it too me.

Dfw that mileage

sounds about right. my last tank was mixed driving of pulling my mowing trailer around town and I got 16.2 :notbad:
