Knock Sensor

I need to change the knock sensor on my Classic 2007. How hard is it to do? Also is it a 1 wire or 2 wire sensor?

That's a good writeup. Some of the plugs/bolts may be slightly different for your 5.3 but that's essentially the same. One thing that is different, you should have the electronic TB and you don't have to take it off the intake. Just unbolt it as an assembly.

I definitely would...I also replaced the wiring harness for the Knock Sensors when I did mine...I did NOT replace the gaskets though...and have no issues

Yes definitely do both and both wiring harnesses while you're in there. The wire in the harnesses gets corroded as well sometimes

With DBW I think all you need is an 8mm for the intake cover, 10mm socket for the intake bolts, flat head screw driver for intake tube and to help get clips apart, and 7/8" IIRC for the sensors.
