My normal mods
Working on the cab still. Just a lot of spot welding. Going to make for a nicer seam on the outside doing all the welds on the inside. Going to be doing a more direct transition on the transmission tunnel.
Welded a 6an fitting on the fuel rail to eliminate the need to make a new fuel line and have it sticking out over the driver valve cover.
Made some more progress yesterday. Get a 97-04 LS evap valve which uses the same plug as the truck valve so it looks factory.
Clearanced the truck accessory bracket
Started filler plates for the sides of the firewall tub
Set up the front suspension and dropped the front frame section
Cycled to check my clearances. Stroked the wheel 1" passed laid out and clear everywhere by 3.25". So once the cab is dropped. Should have about 1" clearance on the firewall.
Awesome! Was going to ask you today if you did a build thread on here, just decided to reset password and find out. Brett is killing it as usual, his work and customer service is incredible! The 8hr drive in the terrible winter storm was worth every mile of it.
Been a week so time to update. Got the cab dropped. The owner decided we might as well do longtubes. I'm going to have to do a new section for the gas tank anyway so I decided to do a mixture of stock floor and channeled. From the firewall to the gas tank is stock floored. Still have to do the tranny cross member.
