so much motivation in this picture to get mine done. looks so good man
started to de-old man this thing today. pull off the running boards and the mudflaps. Paint behind the flaps wasn't as bad as i thought, still not sure if I want flares or not though.
also, don't mind the broken window guard. i was playing with it and it snapped in my hand...so i guess they're all coming off.

Somewhat of a guess really. I was getting a humming/rubbing noise up front, so knew it had to be my CVs or Hubs. I've put over 80k on the truck and never replaced hubs and there's a good chance the PO didn't either, so with 155k on the truck I figured they were due anyways. One still felt pretty good, but I could feel the crud in the other one when rotating it by hand.

Hmmm, I just redid my front brakes and I was wondering about the hubs. I can feel some slight resistance when turning the wheel by hand, but there no play or wiggle in them. Truck is a 2001 with about 150k miles. I seriously doubt the PO replaced them because I bought this truck back in 2006 with 42k miles on it. I wonder if I should replace them soon or wait until they start clicking or humming. I know what that distinct bad bearing "humming" sound sounds like.
I'd just keep an eye on them. If you start hearing a bad humming or notice lots of movement next time you have a wheel off, then I'd change them. My old 05 had 162k on the originals and my current Tahoe has 203k on the originals and I'm just now getting a hum in the LF
