Once you get going on it, it is extremely easy. I'd flip it first so you can better line up the notch.

It drives fine, i didn't even know what the dude was talking about

caster only effects how the steering feels. it can make it feel easier or harder to turn. caster has absolutely no effect on tire wear so do not worry there.
