So I got the story on the Chevelle today. Owner and his best friend used to cruise in this car when they were teenagers together with his best friend being the owner. As the years went on he never sold the car and planned to restore it. That didn't happen after he was diagnosed with cancer. So dude's best friend (passenger as kids, owner now) buys the car and has a full rotisserie / resto mod restore done on it keeping the numbers matching 396/4 speed with the intention of the two of them cruising again before the original owner passed. Sadly, the build was done quickly enough.
He won runner up for Best in Show behind the Daytona that was all original with 26k on the clock.
