Well I figured I did not get enough punishment last year and needed to stress for a few months again.

2014 Ram Laramie 2500HD MegaCab
6.7L Cummins
Leather
Nav
etc.

Pick from tonight right after picking it up.

Plans are an 8-10" Kelderman lift, 24x14 American Force Wheels, 37x13.50 Toyo Tires, Rigid Industries grille and lights, Fusion Bumpers, MBRP exhaust, amp steps, and not sure on the rest quite yet.

Hopefully taking off the factory pieces I need chromed to go along with the other pieces of the Kelderman lift so won't be much action for about month while I wait for that.

It's cool that you get to do these builds and show them to us, I know most of us dream of building a truck that gets that much attention and coverage. But this one just seems to fall short of an "amazing" build imo. Seems too average if I can even say that about a brand new truck build. I dunno, maybe I'll change my mind after I actually see it done, but right now I give it a resounding meh.

Rendering is hard to show detail but it isn't quite as flashy as the last one I suppose but what it lacks in color will hopefully be made up for in chrome.

I like your mod taste on the Yukon and Duramax, so I'm sure this will be just as clean. I'll reserve the rest of my judgement for a few months from now :shake:

I'm uber jealous that you get to do all of this and I'd give my left testicle to have that opportunity.

I'm not trying to be negative or a dick, but the plans and rendering look like 97% of every lifted truck that I saw in a SEMA roll-out video for last year's event. American Forces, huge bumper, and light bars.

I don't know all the specifics and if you're sponsored by those people then yes, the build makes sense. But if you're building the truck to be a SEMA standout, its kind of bland.

I am not sure what you mean by standout but honestly I am in to clean looks not flashy or graphics. Honestly with lifted trucks there isn't much to do to not look similar to other lifted trucks just as most lowered trucks and suvs look the same.

The reason I am doing the after market bumpers and grille is that we are getting more into selling accessories so it only makes sense to showcase them. The build won't be for everyone and I know that, honestly I am fine with it also. With both the Yukon and the Silverado looking back there is things I would have done differently as I am sure I will with this. The reasons for the lack of a lift color is 1) I am really looking the idea off a color matched with chrome truck 2) the new rear coil kits intertwine with pieces that are welded to the frame so bars would go from brackets with color to a stock piece on the frame.

Let's be real, if you don't like the build this year maybe you will like next years

what do you do again that allows you to do SEMA builds? Seems like a solid plan for a traditional type of lifted rig.

Doing anything with the interior? What does it look like now?

I can't find any online that look like it but no Katzkin this year, seats look pretty badass as is. Thinking about a stereo but other than that probably a lock pick or similar unit and some headrest screens.

I like it Yates. I get a little exhausted looking at crazy graphics and too many light bars...
My .02 on the build would be to do some nice custom headlights, color matched with some leds/projectors etc, and then go off on the interior.
There's too many of these trucks that are over done on the outside, and not touched on the inside. The last Truckin cover almost made me lose faith in the magazine's understanding a true cover truck. It was so basic and lazy IMO..
If you do some classy leather work, some cool color matching, custom center console, and a jammin' audio setup, this thing could top some charts.

Anyways, I'm in for the build! Me and my fiance are going this year, so I hope to see it in person.

BTW, that's cool you work at Kelderman
