Just wondering what brands everyone has used on their plastics and fabric with good results.

First, I'm looking to dye my visors black instead of trying to suede them. I've read that taking them apart is a PITA, so I'm trying to bypass that.

Second, possibly looking in the future to dye my door panels / dash / etc.

What products are you guys using for either of these? Thanks.

Don't use fabric dye on the visors or headliner it's been over a year and a half since I did mine and that stuff still rubs off on everything

Hmm, so what would you guys suggest for them? Should I try pulling them apart when the time comes?

Lol if they're not bad I wouldn't mind doing them. I read in corny's CC thread a while ago that it was a huge pain to do though...

I use SEM at work when Im dying interiors (anything from headliners to leather) and I use SEM. I just heat it with a hair dryer and its dry to the touch in minutes

Yeah, definitely use SEM. I've gotta do my 03 console before I swap it in the Cobra (it's dark charcoal now, needs to be black) and will be using SEM. Idk where you'd get it in the Chevy colors tho.

Awesome, thanks a lot guys. Definitely gonna go that route when the time comes to do the interior.

Those of you who have used this SEM dye. Do you have to apply a clear coat? or does the dye itself be a top coat? DFW to try it out. Also where is the best place to buy it from?

I'd suggest using all their products for best result and longevity. Finishmaster (auto paint supplier) is where I've gotten it local.

Summit has a few of their products online, as well as on Amazon. I get mine from a local auto body supply store. I used it on my console and dash with good results. It's starting to come off of my console in places it's been abused, so I'd suggest a clear coat or two to be safe. Mine was just sprayed and never cleared.
