After trading off my 04 single cab and briefly owning a 04 ecsb 4x4 i wound up getting this 2005 Silverado crew cab in December 2013. Very used, but what i wanted. It needed some tlc immediately. This will be a SLOW build but here is where im at.

It came color matched with shaved gate and with the ltz 20s.
Interior is stock with U.S. speedo overlay and Pioneer DD with kicker speakers.

As much as id like to jump on the appearance mods this is my daily driver so i opted for a engine swap first.

Jumped on this for $1350

370 shortblock

Setup:
6.0 Block bored to 4.030
Stock crank and rods.
Arp rod,cam,flexplate, and crank bolts
Mahle forged -4cc pistons. Rings filed for nitrous
LS6 cam for mild manners and :sneaky:
SLP Rollmaster double timing chain
Ported LS6 oil pump
eBay head studs
Stock 317 heads with COMP springs/rods
Stock manifolds no cats dumped blowmaster, until i can buy new muffler setup
Stock injectors/Intake until I add better cam

Eventually I'll 4l80 swap and add more power. Nothing fancy just a factory look.

Thats how it sits for now. Next ill be working on suspension/brakes when funds allow. Will add more pics as I change things.

Yea, they were leftover from a old build and were already cleaned and painted so i slapped them on. Its different for sure, like a belair blue. Doesn't look as bright as these pics in person though. My water pump is black because i did just decide to replace it. Most of the guys building LS engines around here are all lime green for some reason so it could be worse.

I have a straight white driver door (bare) aside from one small mark where someone tried to pry the handle, yours if you want it.

could always be worse, could be burnt orange

Exactly, seen that too recently but with purple to add.

Truck looks good dude, love me a white CC. Got any videos?

Thanks! None yet, only have about 50 miles on the swap due to work and cleaning some things up. Also swapping the flexplate since this used one i installed has a small crack. Truck does feel more powerful in comparison to my old single cab 5.3 with cam swap. I will asap though!

Looks like you have a good platform to start with. Dfw nbs to play with

Yea not perfect but not too bad, This is my 5th nbs.

Really? Ill contact you about it.

Thanks man! Will have video asap. I do all my work out in the grass, so I have to make time between work and the crazy Ga summer weather 95 degrees with tons of humidity then it rains for 45 minutes and gets everything wet. LOL. Havent felt like doing a whole lot.

So when does the 5/8 come in to play :naughty:

Looks good man! Dfw 370 :hng:

Thanks man! Think im only gonna go 3/6 to keep some ground clearance and run bigger tires.

looks clean, i like the teal on the motor

Thanks man! I like it more than most colors I've seen. I'd love to have white but I'm sure they would probably always look dirty. Need to get them powder coated one day. When I swap to aftermarket intake and cam then ill make it look better.
