Alright I need a refresher on this.. Can hear it popping just like on my old s10 I had. I remember it was a pita to change them on it. So what's the easiest and quickest way to do it? 95 single cab!

Ok I remember a little more now.. I used a socket and hammer to knock the old ones out and a press to put the new ones in. On this Sierra what all do I need to remove the drive shaft?

Removing the shaft makes it easier, I've never done one in the vehicle, heat it up to get all the plastic crap out if it's still there, hammer it out use a c clamp to put in

Unfortunately bolt rear of shaft from axle and pull the slip yoke out, I think it's either a 7/16 or 3/8 wrench you need to take it it out (I've unfortunately done a ton of OBS u joints, just a warning to clear my name of any responsibility but I doubt you need it
*********CHOCK THE REAR WHEELS OR SET PARKING BRAKE, I'm not responsible if your truck runs you over**********

Make sure it's greaseable, I personally like Precision and Moog U joints, but yes those are the bolts and the front just slides out but have a drain pan under the the output on the trans, some fluid will probably come out.

Thanks for posting a question!

This isn't the right place for it though. You should start your own thread, since this one is about ball joint replacement, not footwell lights.

Also some info on the truck would help us help you:

Year
Model
Cab configuration

Posting a picture of the housing will help us determine your next move.

Thanks, and welcome!
