Soooo I've been riding for too long without beats. Rode with a buddy the other day and caught the bass bug again.

Truck is a regular cab with a bench seat.
What are my best options? I could fit 2 of the Kicker truck boxes with the 10s already mounted. Put one on each side and amp rack in the middle. Or I've been tossing the idea around of getting a box built that stretches across the whole area behind the seat and maybe putting 3 shallow mount 10s (if box airspace allows) and an amp under the seat.

The Kicker subs/boxes
Kicker TC10 10" Truck Sub Box 150 Watts 4 Ohm Impedance [10TC10-4] - 10TC10-4-N

Ideas?

Or I've also been tossing the idea of finding 2 bucket seats and getting a console built that houses a high power 10.

Yea I mean the Kickers arent top end by no means. I have the big Kicker box with the 2 12s in it that I had in previous trucks. I really liked them. Nice and tight bass. I haven't heard the 10s but I assumed it'd be about the same, just not as much lows.

I'm shooting for simplicity but not horrid sounds.

Sundown sd2 10 imo. Uses almost no airspace. You can get a truck box the size of that kicker box for it and have a better sub from the start. They only need like 500w rms too iirc and an amp that size is usually around $200. Cheap and simple and will sound bamf

How tall are you and how willing to move the seat forward some? I'm 5'8" and had mine like 3 or 4 notches from all the way up and had room. That got me 2 non shallow mount 12s with 1 cu ft each in the middle and an amp mounted on each side.

Team psi, ssa, ascendant audio, fi, dd, dc, skar, soundqubed, focal, sundown, hertz, gladen, t3 audio, rockford. Tons of choices, just make sure you get a good amp to run it. But first and foremost, good sound starts with a good head unit.

I is 6'2 and big boned. I'll need shallow mounts lol.

I'll look into those brands Alec.

And look into how much a professional box is.

I had 2 solobaric L7 8s in my rcsb. Actually still behind the seat lol I'll be pulling them and porting a sub in a console between buckets though.

I had several different setups in my OBS RCLB (also a bench seat). The first was two MTX 8s with an Orion amp, the second was a single Rockford P2 12 behind the drivers seat area and a Rockford amp, and the last (and my favorite) was two Infinity 10s in a box that stretched the entire width of the seat and a Pioneer amp. All setups still allowed me to run the seat all the way back. Just takes some careful engineering of the box. I'm 6'0" tall.

Agree with jordan. Think my seat backs had to be one click forward. I'm 6' and 230+ lbs as well. Just make an offer I can't refuse and come get mine haha

For me, not being a huge system dude im gonna get something powered that will fit under the seat and get one for the passenger and driverside. I use my behind the seat space for tool storage since I got rid of my toolbox

I've thought about that just give a little bass kinda like a Bose system but I'm afraid I'd want more beat after a week.
